Ketosteril Tablets 100’s

Ketosteril® contains amino acids, partly in form of there corresponding-ketoanalogues, essential for both healthy person and patients with Chronic Kidney Disease.

In combination with a protein-restricted diet Ketosteril® is an excellent tool to treat Chronic Kidney Disease in the predialysis period.

Each pack contains 100 film coated tablets.

Dosage:
4 to 8 tablets, swallowed whole, three times daily during meals applies for Adults with/above 70 kg bodyweight.
Dosage Calculation: 1 tablet per 5 kg body weight per day. Kindly consult your healthcare professionals for further advice.

Ingredients:
Total nitrogen content per tablet: 36 mg Calcium content per tablet: 1.25 mmol = 0.05 g

Other ingredients: Corn starch, crospovidone, povidone (K-value 29-32), talc, highly dispersed silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, macrogol 6000, colouring agents E 104, E 171, alkaline polymethacrylate, glycerol triacetate.

Cautionary Instructions:
Please do not use after Ketosteril the expiry date. Keep out of reach of children. Do not store above 25°C. Protect from moisture. If you’re taking other medicines that contain calcium, please be aware that it could potentially increase your blood calcium levels.

Dose Adjustment: Reduce the dose of aluminium hydroxide as uraemic symptoms improve with Ketosteril® tablets.
Monitoring: Monitor for reduced serum phosphate levels.
Drug Interactions: Maintain a 2-hour interval between Ketosteril® tablets and medications that form poorly soluble compounds with calcium to avoid absorption interference.
