3M Actisorb Plus 25 Activated Charcoal with Silver 10.5x10.5cm 10s (#MAP105)

Actisorb™ Plus 25 (25 µg/cm² of silver) Silver 220 Dressing is an activated charcoal dressing with silver, enclosed in a non-adherent nylon sleeve. Helps eliminate wound malodor by trapping odor inside the dressing. The silver acts as a barrier to bacterial penetration, which may help reduce infection in some wounds.

Activated Charcoal: The dressing contains activated charcoal, which effectively traps the unpleasant odor of wounds. By binding to bacteria and toxins, it hinders the healing process.

Silver: Silver is impregnated into the dressing (25 μg/cm²) and acts as a barrier to bacterial penetration, potentially reducing infection risk. Silver helps to kill the bacteria in the dressing.

Directions:
- Follow appropriate wound management protocols and wash your hands before and after application.
- Apply a size slightly larger than the wound.
- Cover and secure with a secondary dressing.
- It can remain in place for up to 7 days, depending on drainage levels.

Cautionary:
Do not use on third-degree burns.
Avoid using on patients with a known sensitivity to silver.

Since malodor can be accompanied by wound fluids, the dressing also manages exudate while maintaining a moist wound healing environment.
