Smith & Nephew Intrasite Gel 15g Applipak

INTRASITE Gel (15g) being a hydrogel wound dressing, gently re-hydrates necrotic tissue, facilitating autolytic debridement, while being able to loosen and absorb slough and exudate. It can also be used to provide the optimum moist wound management environment during the later stages of wound closure. It is non-adherent and does not harm viable tissue or the skin surrounding the wound. This makes INTRASITE Gel suitable for every stage in the wound management process.

Mode of action:
INTRASITE Gel promotes natural debridement through autolysis by gently rehydrating necrotic tissue. It also loosens and absorbs slough and exudate. INTRASITE Gel provides a moist wound healing environment. It is non-adherent and does not harm viable tissue or skin surrounding wounds.

Indications : INTRASITE Gel is indicated for the removal of non-viable tissue from shallow, undermined and deep wounds (eg pressure sores, leg ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, malignant wounds, burns, surgical wounds, scalds, lacerations, grazes, amputations and fungating ulcers. Also, for the treatment of granulating cavity wounds, excoriated skin and radiation burns.
