Smith & Nephew Cica-Care Scar Treatment Gel Sheet 12x3cm

Smith & Nephew Cica-Care dressing is a self-adhesive silicone gel sheet shown to help soften, flatten and fade red, dark or raised scars. It is suitable for scars resulting from surgery, accidents and burns and is shown to reduce the thickness, itchiness and colouration of raised scars. Semi-occlusive to help hydrate the scar area.

Each box contains 1 Scar Treatment Gel Sheet

• Treat new and existing red and raised scars
• Scars may result from surgical incisions such as ceasarean section, cosmetic surgery, burns and lacerations

Directions:

1. Clean and dry the scar and surrounding skin.
2. Open peel pack and lift out CICA-CARE sheet with its release liner attached.
3. To cover a scar with a small overlap over the surrounding skin, cut a piece of material. For larger scars, use several sheets side by side. To make removal easier, ensure that the piece includes the removal flap on the backing sheet.
4. Carefully peel off the release liner and apply the adhesive side to the scar without stretching
5. Although self-adhesive, CICA-CARE may also be held in place by a lightly elastic conforming bandage or tape such as OPSITE Flexifix. It’s important not to hold the bandage too tightly against the scar, as this can cause irritation in the scar and the surrounding area.
